Gap Analysis is a method for identifying gaps (non-compliances) and areas of process improvement in the Process System. Organizations can systematically close all gaps reported in the gap analysis report. This process can be repeated until all gaps are closed. At this point, the organization is said to comply with the defined CMMI Maturity Level.
